September 2022 Newsletter
Friday 2nd September. Roland is still in hospital waiting for them to decide what treatment they are going to do. Alun Clemas attended the session today. Welcome back Alun. Shirley came back after a short break looking after her dog.
Saturday 3rd September. In the 2-Wood Competition Semi Final, Sam played Susan in a quality game,
Sam won 2 - 1. We sang Happy Birthday to Maureen Duckette for her birthday tomorrow.
Tuesday 6th September. We welcomed back Brenda from her short break and Rhys back after a few weeks off starting a new job. Roland is home from hospital, he has to have a consultation with a consultant to decide what will be the next step. Phil Williams played "backhand today for the first time.
Thursday 8th September. On behalf of our members, I would like to express our sadness with the news of the death today of the Queen.
Saturday 10th September. Sam played Len in the final of the 2-Wood Competition. Sam won 2 legs - 0 to become this season's 2-Wood Champion. Well done Sam. We are now looking forward to our End of Season Grand Dinner next
Tuesday 13th September. Good session in the morning. Our end of Season Grand Dinner Party in the Dunraven Hotel was an outstanding success. Our thanks go to Nic, Ruth and staff who gave us a lovely dinner. Our Chairman Sam, asked our members to stand in silence respecting the passing of our Queen. He then made a statement regarding the success of our summer season. Our secretary/treasurer Clive, gave a statement giving details of the up-coming winter season, finance with details of membership fees, the investments in the club and donation to Ty Ross. He explained that the club had commissioned the purchase and installation of 3 items of park equipment which is expected to be installed prior to Christmas. He talked about the clubs involvement in the community. The park equipment for the young children, free sessions for the 10 years + next summer, sessions for the 18 years +, our wheelchair facility and autism sessions and schools program. We are open 12 months of the year. Clive then expressed his thanks to Sam, our Chairman for his support. to Chris for everything she does at the club and for producing the Newsletter etc. Clive also expressed his appreciation to the members for their support. We then relaxed with entertainment organized by Chris, which was a great success. This was lovely evening and one we will remember for a long time.

Saturday 17th September. Last session of the summer. The members expressed their thanks to Clive and Chris for everything that they do.

Not only on the playing side but also the social activities. Also, my thanks to Sam (our Chairman) and Chris who multi tasks at the club and a lot of work at home doing this Newsletter and song sheets etc.

Monday 19th September. Today will be remembered By Chris and I as well as all our members for it being the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth 11. R.I.P.
Tuesday 20th September The painters are at work in the club.
Monday 26th September. Clive and Chris would like to thank everyone for their birthday greetings. The painting in the clubhouse is going well.
