December 2019 Newsletter
Tuesday 3rd December. Today we celebrated Carole's Birthday. Once again, we thank Chris Stewart for another lovely cake.
Friday 6th December. Quiet session today due partly to the following, Len has twisted his knee, Pat has to see the doctor regarding her hearing, Christine Stewart dropped a scissors on her foot and has gone for an X-ray, Sylvia is due to have a knee operation and David Morgan has gone to see his dentist. Everyone at the club send you all our good wishes. However we do have some good news, Rose had an endoscope on Wednesday and had a good result. Great.
Tuesday 10th December. We were pleased, once again to welcome Jodie Price and Rachel Davies (Community Sport and Physical Activities Leaders) to the club today. we still have good memories of them opening our new bowling facilities back in October. I am sure that they were pleased to see the new short mat in use today and they joined in which was great.
We had a very good turn out of members, whilst some of our members were having a break in Devon, we hope that they are enjoying themselves.
Friday 13th December. Good turnout today, "Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day", a lot of fun in the club. Mary Jones impressed us all today. Well bowled Mary.
Tuesday 17th December. We welcomed back members from their short break in Devon. Len Pearce turned up with the aid of a walking stick, his knee is on the mend.
We had our Christmas dinner in the evening at the Dunraven Hotel which was enjoyed by all .
Our thanks to all who contributed to the draw and Sue and Chris for arranging it.
Friday 27th December. Unexpectedly good turnout considering a lot of our members are on the sick list including Chris which is why I'm running todays session on my own (hahaha). Those of us who are here and well wish everyone to get well soon.
Saturday 28th December. A good session, I'm still on my own, however, I would like to say "thank you" to those who have been here the last two days for their help in making the sessions run well.
Don't forget there is a session on New Years Eve starting at 11.30 am.
Tuesday 31st December. A very busy session today with two full rinks and a lot of chatter and catching up to do while we were having our tea break. A lovely lively session.
As this is our last session for 2019, Chris and I would like to wish you all A VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR
Chris and I were surprised and pleased to be awarded The Sport RCT Volunteer of the Month for December.
