June 2021 Newsletters
Tuesday 1st June. Chris and Susan now lead in the wedge competition 60 points. Enjoyed a good session followed by an enjoyable lunch in the Dunraven Hotel.
Wednesday 2nd June. Chris now leads the Wedge Competition on her own with a score of 70 points. On the short mat some great heads played by Carole, Rose and Chris followed by refreshments and a quiz. Lovely evening.
Thursday 3rd June. We entertained a small group from the Autism Centre. It was their first visit and it went very well and we are looking forward to the next time they come.
Friday 4th June. Chris set a new high of 130 points.
Saturday 5th June. We welcomed Alan Clemas back from his short break. No one could beat Chris's 130 points and therefore, she is this weeks winner.
Monday 7th June. This weeks Wedge game started today with Chris setting the score of 120 points. It was pleasing to see Gwen White have her best session to date. The green is getting greener.
Tuesday 8th June. Weather still good, plenty of sun. Susan Anderson took the lead in the wedge game with a score of 180 points.
Thursday 10th June. We welcomed the Autism group again today. They were a group of three with three staff. We all had an enjoyable time, socialising and playing games.
The green was mowed yesterday and is beginning to look like a bowling green again.
Friday 11th June. Alun Clemas is himself today after being unwell yesterday. Great enjoyment with the quiz today.
Some of us had a lunch in the Dun afterwards.
Saturday 12th June. Susan Anderson won this weeks wedge competition and retains the lead in the overall highest score with 180 points.
Wednesday 16th June. Gwen White scored 110 points to take the lead in this weeks Wedge Competition. Well done Gwen.
Friday 18th June. A very enjoyable session this morning followed by lunch in the Dun with a few members.
We have had a reply from the parks department which we have published in "Latest News" and I will be reporting to our members in our next sessions.
Saturday 19th June. Gwen White wins this weeks Wedge Competition. Chris Stewart is continuing organizing the Cream Tea Party in the Dun on Tuesday. It is Brenda's birthday tomorrow, we all wish her a Happy Birthday. Susan Anderson is going away next week. Have a good time Sue.
Tuesday 22nd June. The Cream Tea Party in the Dun was a great success, the food was exceptional. Our thank to Chris Stewart for organizing. In the Wedge Competition, Pat Havard takes the lead with 110 points.
Thursday 24th June. Good session with the Autism Centre Group today. Following the discussions I had with our present members about the upcoming winter season, I have prepared a list of those people who will be offered membership in the first instance. Of course this can be reviewed if the WG Guidelines are changed and-or anyone on the list declines membership.
Saturday 26th June. We welcomed Sue back from her short break and Darren Morgan back to the club. Pat Havard was declared this weeks Wedge winner. Susan Anderson had the highest score over the four weeks with 180 points.
Tuesday 29th June. Mary Jones is isolating because a member of her family has tested positive for Covid. She is feeling fine and we look forward to seeing her again soon.
