Tuesday 14th September. We held our Memorial Buffet today to remember the members who died during the pandemic to date. Lynne from "Lovey Dovey" gave a reading before releasing the two doves while our members formed a half circle to witness the proceedings.
Following this, our members returned to the pavilion for a buffet.
Our Chairman Sam Morgan made a speech in which he called out the names of the members we were remembering today.

During the buffet, Clive presented the winners of the final week Wedge Competition with their prizes and Susan Anderson with the Challenge Cup and a bouquet of flowers for scoring the most Tons during the season.
Chris Sheridan gave us a spot of entertainment by performing a tap dance, which received huge applause.
Thank you Chris.
Clive would like to express his thanks to everyone who helped this Memorial Buffet to be a dignified success.
WINTER SEASON
Tuesday 21st September. First session of the winter season. Today was a case of settling the players into the new setup and it went very well. At the end of the session, I asked everyone if they felt safe and comfortable and they gave a positive reply.
Friday 24th September. Good session today. Particularly good bowling on green 2 which is not an easy green to play. We welcomed back Len Pearce today.
Tuesday 28th September. Following this mornings session, we all headed up to the Dunraven Hotel to celebrate Alun Clemas's birthday with a cream tea. We all joined in to sing "Happy Birthday". During the party, Susan Anderson "bravely" made a speech thanking Clive and Chris for keeping the club open for the members to enjoy during the last 18 months of the pandemic and made a presentation to them on behalf of the membership. Clive responded by saying that it had been a difficult time for everyone and he praised the membership for their support in following the guidelines which has helped to keep us all safe and enabled us to enjoy our bowling and companionship and that we can keep this going as long as possible.
We know Brenda will be reading this as she is now on line !!!!!
