October 2018 Newsletter
Tuesday 2nd October. A lovely visit from Dymphna to catch up with old times.
Thursday 4th October. It was one year ago yesterday 3rd October since our friend Kay Leyshon passed away, some of our members went to Clydach Lakes to put flowers on the spot where Kay's ashes were scattered. A beautiful place for a beautiful lady to Rest In Piece.
Tuesday 9th October. Lauren turned up with chocolate crispy cakes that she made in the training center yesterday, thank you Lauren. David Havard stole the show today ending the session with 2 great shots, well done David. Everyone is looking forward to our evening meal out in 2 weeks time.
Tuesday 16th October. We welcomed Paul Miller and Alan Roberts to their first session indoors. The club was very full today and we had to use our side-room for the first time this season to play table games, dominoes etc. which was enjoyed by the members who played. We are looking forward to an evening out next Tuesday.
Saturday 27th October. Len Pierce has been in hospital for most of this week, we understand that he's doing better now. Get well soon Len
Tuesday 30th October. It's David's 87th birthday today. The club was full and we enjoyed our normal activities followed by our normal refreshments, except, being David's birthday, it was nothing like normal. There was a birthday cake and candles, the singing of Happy Birthday and a lovely buffet.
I gave our members an update of Len Pierce who is still in hospital, he is improving and maybe be discharged sometime next week. All our best wishes go to Len.
