Friday 5th July.   Very busy Friday morning session. We welcomed Ann Jones back today. David Evans had a short spell in hospital this week but is now back in Ty Ross.
Monday 8th July.   Our Monday League Team welcomed Llantrisant to our green today. Llantrisant played well and took all the points.  We welcomed Cohan along with his mother Kayleigh to our Junior club session and some of our lady members had a great game tonight, such a lot of fun.
Friday 12th July.   Rose needed to go to A+E this morning. She had to remain in hospital over the weekend for treatment.

Good news about Rose, she hopes to be back home on Monday.
Monday 15th July.   Rose is out of hospital today. Welcome home Rose.
Our Monday League team played Ynysybwl today, winning one rink, loosing the other but winning the match on overall score.
Tuesday 16th July.   Lovely sunny day, great turnout. Welcome back to Rose after her short illness and we also welcomed Lynne Fursland and Tyrone. We thank Carole for opening the club in our absence and Sam for assisting along with all our members.
Wednesday 17th July.   Thank goodness it was fine and the school match went ahead as scheduled. A very good match, Penpych won again this year. Well done to Penyrenglyn who also played well. We would like to thank Jodie Price and Rachel Davies (Community Sport and Physical Activities Leaders) for presenting the cups. I would like to thank our coaches, also Margaret Green for her help in the clubhouse,  all of which made the event a great success.
Friday 19th July.   Kay's lunch today. Unfortunately, due to heavy rain, our bowling session had to be cancelled. However a large turnout of members had a memorable morning socially and a lovely buffet catered by the Dunraven Hotel. At the lunch we welcomed Dymphna, one of our members who now lives away but wanted to be here because of her friendship with Kay. We also wished Cian and Rocco (Silvia's grandson) all the best in their Duke of Edinburgh awards scheme test this weekend. I would like to thank those members  who have organised this lunch which was a great success.
Saturday 20th July.   Phil postponed the target competition due to the wet green, good turnout, played normal bowls session today. Members enjoyed buffet afterwards and some had a social gathering in the Dunraven Hotel.
We said our "goodbye's" to Dymphna as she leaves the valleys until her next visit.
Tuesday 23rd July.   Scorching day. The green is recovering well now after the recent rain and now the sun. Great turnout of members. We welcomed Kevan and Bill and Evelyn for a taster session.

Saturday 27th July.   "The Memorial Cup Target Competition" took place today. We remembered that Chris Stewart won the inaugural competition last year and there was a large turnout for this year. In a close scoring competition, Susan Anderson came out top. Well done Sue. A big thanks to Phil Watts for organizing the event.
We welcomed Len Pearce back after a short illness, Lauren back from her holiday in Cyprus and Ashley Thomas who has taken a break from bowling.
