April 2022 Newsletter
Saturday 2nd April (final session) What a way to finish the season, brilliant bowling, great atmosphere. Rhys's birthday will be on Tuesday. after we close, so we sang "Happy Birthday" to him today.
The big event of the day was the final of the Short Mat Competition between Sam Morgan and Christine Stewart. Chris Stewart has had a great season, playing consistently well, Sam, in contrast, has missed a lot of the season, due to family commitments and this showed in the final with Chris winning 2 legs to 0.

Saturday 9th April. Darren has Covid. He is a little unwell, we had a conversation with him on the phone, we could hear it in his voice and he was down in the dumps. He is well looked after by the staff and we look forward to him getting well soon. Chris had her eye operation yesterday as planned and everything went well.
Tuesday 12th April. Our thanks to the members who turned up to help with preparing the clubhouse for the start of the season. Len Pearce has Covid, he has a croaky throat but is coping well. Darren is almost fully recovered from Covid and is looking forward to the bowling season. Brenda had a fall today and is seeking treatment at the hospital.
Wednesday 13th April. We phoned to see how Brenda is today, as did many of our members. Brenda had a nasty fall but fortunately has not suffered serous injury, however, she has plenty of cuts and bruises and is quite shaken up. On behalf of everyone at the club, we send her our best wishes for a full recovery and be back with us soon.
