Monday 3rd May. The weather was shocking today but we were all glad to be back with a very enjoyable first session.
Tuesday 4th May. First morning session of the season went very well, everyone had a good time. At this session, we were delighted to welcome Pat Havard, also Jean Morgan returned. Welcome both. When asked if they felt safe, they all gave their approval. At the evening session, we welcomed Gwen White for her first short mat game and she did really well. Everyone had a good time and approved the safety aspect. All in all, a good day.
Friday 7th May. Great session today. The bowling was of a very high standard, some of the players are now thinking tactically, which is not easy to learn. The players who are showing marked improvement, Mary Jones and Pat Havard, Roland Humphries and Jean Morgan who in her first week has played very well. It was an entertaining session.
Saturday 8th May. .Brenda won the target competition. Chris Sheridan and Susan won the pairs match against Brenda and Chris Stewart. A great game which was won with the last bowl. It was so wet this morning that outside on the green we even had a duck visit.

Tuesday 11th May . A great atmosphere in the club today, we seem to be settling down playing the short mat while the green is, hopefully, recovering. The two quizzes today were very entertaining, everyone was getting involved and it was particularly pleasing to see Rhys contributing with some good answers.
Wednesday 12th May. A lovely evening bowling. Gwen White is continuing to improve every session, tonight she equalled Chris's record of 150 points on the Wedge and also played well in the pairs. Well done Gwen.
Friday 14th May. We wish Pat Havard Many Happy returns of the day. Chris Sheridan re-captured the record on the Wedge with a score of 180 points.
Saturday 15th May. A nice morning of bowls and it was a pleasure to see Alun Clemas again. We also wished Chris Stewart Many Happy Returns of the day.

Monday 17th May. Tonight's session included the return of refreshments, also we welcomed the return of Margaret Green.
Tuesday 18 May. Good session this morning followed by lunch in the Baglan Hotel. Good company, nice afternoon.
Wednesday 19th May. Nice session. Everyone had a good game, Gwen White in improving every session and Mike Lias had a good game. We enjoyed refreshments and a quiz afterwards.
Thursday 20th May. Jean Morgan was admitted to hospital this week but is now back home. we hope to see her back soon.
There are some slots available for Saturday.
Friday 21st May. Today we had a visit from Alice Martin from Autism to look into the possibility of having sessions with us. We had a constructive discussion which ended with me feeling optimistic about holding these sessions.
In our Wedge practice, Susan Anderson set a new record of 230 points. Well done Sue. The session itself was one of those where everyone played well, quality bowling and a joy to be there.
Tuesday 25th May. lovely session this morning, everyone in good spirits, enjoyed a quiz after the bowls, Roland was outstanding. Some of us went up the Dunraven Hotel for a light lunch and had a nice afternoon.
there are signs that the seeding of the green is now showing progress.
Friday 28th May. It was nice to have Lauren Howells back in the club today. The session went really well and we had an enjoyable quiz at the end of the session. Outside it is noticeable that the new grass is showing through, very encouraging.
Chris and I visited the autism centre after the session to meet the group and get to know them before they visit us next Thursday.
Saturday 29th May. We welcomed Phil Watts back after he took a break till he had his Covid jabs. We presented Sam with his awards for winning last winters Wedge Competition. Alan Clemas is taking a break next week in Tenby and we wished him well.
Monday 31st May. Last session of the month. The green is getting greener, we can now only hope that June will show rapid improvement. The club will be closed from Friday 30th July until Saturday 14th August, Chris and I will be taking our usual summer break.
