This was the "Big Event" in our season, the School Challenge Match between Penpych Primary and Penyrenglyn Primary Schools. 48 Pupils filling the green to capacity on a hot summers afternoon. They played 5 ends to the jack and then 4 ends to the target. This years match was a very even contest and the final score reflected this, Penyrenglyn winning by 1 point. The cups were presented in a packed pavilion by Julie Price (RCT Sport). Julie also presented a certificate to Alun Howells who has recently awarded "Volunteer of the Month" by RCT.
Clive then thanked the coaching team for refereeing the match along with all the other duties of the day and throughout the season, working with the schools, also Brenda and Susan for organizing the refreshments, he passed on his thanks to the Head Teachers of the schools and the staff who have supported this joint project again this season.
