October 2023 Newsletter
Week ending Saturday 7th October
It's 6 years since the passing of Kay leishon and we still remember fondly.
We wished Marion a Happy Birthday this week.
We heard that Diane Thomas has been ill for some time and we all wish her well and hope to see her back with us in the near future.
The club is full for every session and our new and old members are settling down on the indoor mat.
Week ending Saturday 14th October. Another week of full sessions. It's been a fantastic week, lots of fun, brilliant bowling, it's been a privilege and a pleasure to enjoy. My thanks go to you all.
Week ending Saturday 21st October. We gave our best wishes to Susan Anderson, Lynne Fursland and Maureen Price who celebrated birthdays this week. All sessions this week had practice on the target wedge in preparation for the competition starting next week.
Week ending Saturday 28th October. We started the Wedge Competition. There was some good scoring in the very first session but it was Susan Anderson who exceled with a score of 150 points. The next session was very good but it was Marion who lifted the roof off the club when she became the new leader with a score of 180 points. The last session of the week also scored well. Clive and Chris's great-granddaughter was introduced to the club at the Friday's session.
