January 2022 Newsletter
Tuesday 4th January. We welcomed everyone back for our first session of the new year. We introduced them to the new lay-out of one mat and only 8 players following guidelines. We all enjoyed the session, everyone in good spirit, the good old days are back and we are all looking forward to the rest of the season.
Friday 7th January, Lovely session today, lots of fun and laughter with some good bowling followed by a short quiz, what more can you ask for? A cuppa !!!!.
Tuesday 11th January. Everyone is keeping well at the moment. Thank goodness. With the new layout which has reduced the number of players at each session to 8, means that the sessions are fully booked, we now have a reserved list for sessions should anyone have to cancel. We started the second half Bingo Competition and made the draw for the 3 End Short Mat Tournament.
Thursday 13th January. We welcomed the Autism Centre Group for their first session this year.
Friday 14th January. We started the Short Mat Competition today. The first match was between Susan and Jean and what a good match it was. Jean coming from behind to win 2 ends to 1. We won't see Jean before her birthday on Sunday, so we all send her our best wishes today. Maureen Price and her husband Tony are going on holiday and we hope they have a good time.
The WG update today was very encouraging and we are looking forward to a relaxation in the guidelines in the near future. The green is looking better than it was this time last year and we are optimistic of being able to play outside this summer. There is a growing list of people who have registered interest in playing this summer.

Clive unveiled our latest piece of equipment, (photo in gallery). It has been acquired mainly for use by the Autism Centre sessions but I'm sure it will be popular for general use.
