BIRTHDAYS DURING THESE MONTHS
Marion Hughes Susan Anderson Lynne Fursland Maureen Price
Elaine Squires Mary Jones
Christine Morgan Phillip Watts Roger Jenkins
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL.
Week ending Saturday October 11th. Two weeks into our new season and off to a very good start.
We were pleased to welcome Michelle and Hayley to our Winter sessions, which they seemed to enjoy enormously.
Tony brought his nephew Mark, along today, he is a lively character and we enjoyed welcoming him to our club.
Week ending Saturday October 25th. We started the season with a few members unwell and on holiday so we were pleased to welcome Helen Thomas, Diane Thomas and Sue and Len Jones back into the fold. Our sessions were all filled this week and the atmosphere in the clubhouse was electric.
We had two incredible games recently, going in to the last end with equal points, the blue team won on the very last bowl, later in the week, we had a session with the blue team winning a white-wash game, with a score of 23-0. Every time the reds were holding, the blues bowled them out, the last game of the week was won by the red team. The games were played with high spirits and a lot of fun. The teams are drawn out as each member comes in through the door so it's pot-luck who plays where and with whom.
Susan Anderson and Chris Stewart are now taking donation gifts for our Christmas Dinner Raffle. A big thank you to Sue and Chris for organizing this and for everyone who contributes a prize.
