HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL
Week ending Saturday December 7th. Due to the storm, no session could be held today.
Week ending Saturday December 14th. The week sessions were disrupted because of the storm, we were only able to hold the Saturday session. We were. however, able to hold our Christmas dinner as normal.
The dinner itself was an outstanding success. We all enjoyed a fabulous meal from the extensive menu and we entertained ourselves afterwards in our usual way. We were missing our chairman Sam and his wife Jodie due to them suffering from a bug.
Clive then said a few words on behalf of Sam. He thanked the members for their support at the sessions, helping to tidy up, wash dishes, etc. and for making the sessions so enjoyable. Clive expressed to the members his appreciation to Sam and Chris for their support with what we achieve in the club.
The club will continue to give our members the best possible experience when they attend sessions. He thanked Sue and Chris Stewart for organizing a lovely raffle, Diane Thomas for organizing transport and everyone who wore Fancy dress, (everyone looked fab) and finally, Ruth and all the staff for their excellent service. Lastly, he would like to thank everyone for what was an amazing evening and one he will remember for a long time.
Week ending Saturday December 21st . Last week before the Christmas break. On Tuesday we started a target competition with Susan Anderson having the highest score of 10 points. Another lovely session on Friday, weather not good Last session before the Christmas break on Saturday and what a lovely session it was, brilliant bowls, lovely atmosphere. Len Pearce won the target competition this week with a score of 11. Well done Len.
We start the new year with the first session on Tuesday January 7th.
